The Opportunities and Challenges of Carbon Neutrality to China’s Macro-Economy

Abstract


Chinese President Xi Jinping announced that China will achieve a carbon peak by 2030 and carbon neutrality by 2060. In the past two years, China has successively published the work plan and roadmap for carbon peak and carbon neutrality and continued to push this target forward. This paper reviews the impact and challenges of carbon neutrality on China's macro economy.
