Abstract

Strengthening the theoretical and practical research of ecological diplomacy is of great significance to promoting the construction of global ecological civilization and realizing the diplomatic strategy of a big country with Chinese characteristics. At present, the academic circles focus on the study of China's ecological diplomacy from 1972 to the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and there are few research results on the new development of China's ecological diplomacy since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. On the basis of the existing research, this paper expounds the remarkable characteristics of China's ecological diplomacy development in the new era from the aspects of guiding ideology, functional connotation, participants and strategic layout of ecological diplomacy, analyzes the external risks faced by China's ecological diplomacy, and puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions for strengthening ecological diplomacy in the new era.
