The Introduction of the Special Issue

Rapid growth of population and industrial activities, and diminishing availability of water resources added more contaminants to water  body through wastewater discharge to it. The growing concern of various environmental issues leads to developing various advanced technologies. Wastewater treatment technologies have been used for water treatment of organic and inorganic pollutants.  

This special issue will focus on recent advance techniques for wastewater treatment of organic and inorganic ( includes heavy metals)  pollutants which include (not all) :

1- Advanced Oxidation Processes (AOPs)

2-Adsorption

3- Photocatalytic degradation

4- Nanocatalysts

5- Osmosis.

6- Electrolysis

7-Electrochemecal processes

8- Adsorption/Bio-oxidation process

8- and other techniques.

Submission guidelines

All papers should be submitted via the Probe - Environmental Science and Technology submission system: http://probe.usp-pl.com/index.php/PES

Submitted articles should not be published or under review elsewhere. All submissions will be subject to the journal’s standard peer review process. Criteria for acceptance include originality, contribution, scientific merit and relevance to the field of interest of the Special Issue.
