The Introduction of the Special Issue Networks have become exemplary way of representing complex systems which are consisting of many interacting units whose collective behavior cannot be explained just by examining the individual components alone. Many complex systems in the form of evolving network structure are ubiquitous in various domain of life such as technology, transportation, sociology, biology, ecology and many more. These complex systems are pervasive and surprisingly similar in topology when modelled and analyzed as complex networks. Keeping in view, the understanding and importance of many critical complex systems around us with their non-trivial functioning and interactions of components need to be deeply analyzed. Due to the availability of huge amount of datasets in different domain and power of network modelling with analysis can lead us to new important ideas and significant results for societies and ultimately to human being. This special issue of the journal is aimed to disseminate the results and cutting-edge research in the field of complex networks.
