In this special issue, leading experts will address problems related to the modeling of chemical and biochemical processes in chemical engineering. Studies of different approaches to solving these problems will be presented.

We developed this special issue around the theme of modeling the engineering processes to highlight the importance of these topics for ongoing progress in engineering science.
