Section Collection Information
Dear Colleagues,
The study of soil organisms is a critical component of understanding soil health and productivity. Soil organisms include a diverse range of microorganisms, mesofauna, and macrofauna that play important roles in nutrient cycling, decomposition, and soil structure formation. However, human activities such as tillage, pesticide use, and land use change can have a significant impact on soil organisms and their functions.
This call for a paper invites researchers to submit original research articles, reviews, or perspectives on soil organisms and their ecology. Topics of interest include but are not limited to:
The role of soil organisms in nutrient cycling and decomposition
The impact of human activities on soil organisms and their functions
The use of soil organisms for sustainable agriculture and land management
The interactions between soil organisms and plant-microbe interactions
The potential of soil organisms for bioremediation and environmental restoration
We welcome submissions from a variety of disciplines, including microbiology, ecology, agronomy, and environmental science. We encourage authors to consider the implications of their research for sustainable agriculture and land management practices.
