Dear Colleagues,

From the very beginning, humanity has been aware of disease and ailment. Drug discovery and development is essential for cures from diseases and its success depends on combined efforts of chemical and biological research. Anciently, many people used leaves, bark, roots, and different parts of plants to cure different diseases. Unfortunately, pests are a major bottleneck in controlling disease because they not only threaten human beings by destroying crops and infecting medicinally important plants but also damages the landscape. Therefore, it is necessary to control pests for a better living on Earth.

There are two ways to control pests and disease.First way is to design new pesticides with better efficacy. Second way is to explore new methods/treatments to cure/control disease caused by pests. (Drug discovery and development)

The main goal of this section is to publish research / review articles related to discovery/synthesis of new pesticides, mode of action of pesticides, different diseases caused by pests, cure of these diseases by natural and synthetic compounds, virtual screening of lead molecules, and other areas of research related to pests and disease control.

We look forward to your seminal contribution in areas of research related to pest and disease control.
