Distinguished Colleagues,

The Paris Agreement on Climate Change, the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, and many other objectives all rely remarkably on livestock production. The global hunger trend is very serious in concern to peri-pandemic scenario as well as the Ukraine- Russia conflict. The leading cause of death in the world is hunger. Earth has given enormously the resources for us, but millions of people are starving due to unequal access and ineffective management. Scientific and intellectual contribution is necessary to support the entire world's population to mitigate hunger through Livestock Production and Management. This practice will imply on sustainable agriculture with cutting-edge technologies and equitable distribution methods. The contribution of livestock to food, is an alternate to nutrition security among the poor. The livestock production and management is primarily indirect like sales of animals or production, for which there is a rapidly increasing market, can generate funds for the purchase of staple foods, and the provision of manure, draught power, and income for the purchase of farm inputs can increase sustainable crop production in mixed crop-livestock systems.

There is also an alarming condition of GHG emissions. Developed nations must concentrate to reduce GHG emissions. The cattle and other livestock industry can be improved in a number of ways, such as through better feed and feeding techniques, better manure management, and increased animal and herd efficiency for ruminants, which will allow for the collection and recycling of nutrients and energy.

On the other side, the livestock industry in developing nations should put its attention first on enhancing human nutrition and health. Primary assistance is required for smallholder livelihoods, such as more productive and better targeted social protection policies. Additionally, it is important to promote both climate mitigation and adaptation, especially through collaborative efforts for climate-smart adaptation.
