The Introduction of the Special Issue Any production or consumption activity generates waste, which are oftenassociated with the deterioration of our environment and has multiple risks forhealth human. In the face of environmental nuisances caused by production industry, the field of civil and mechanical engineering is expected to play an important role in the protection of nature and the environment through the use of solid waste in the manufacture of building materials and in the realization of structures in order to limit the excessive exploitation of natural resources and decrease air pollution,reduce the amount of waste and protect the environment.

The Lead Guest Editor Djebien Rachid Djebien Rachid is born on November 8th,1988 in Collo-Algeria, is a PHD, who has been teaching since September 10th, 2015 in civil engineering department of Skikda University (Algeria). He was an engineer in the international company Samsung engineering and a Phd student from 2011 to 2015. He has several articles and scientific publications in construction materials field. |
